Current knitting

I'm feeling compelled to showcase the few other projects I've completed, these have been more about the process then the product, which is lucky because they have come out interestingly overall.

I first knit another SNB design, the tank girl tank top, in a pink GOA yarn, followed the directions exactly and spent a good portion of my last year in college undedicatedly knitting away at it. No pics are available because it managed to turn my lanky frame incredibly stout. That was sorta okay though cause I was trying to keep low expectations for my first big knitting project.

From there I knit up a striped baby hat, to tackle both knitting stripes and the intimidating double pointed needles. This one came out pretty cute, if a little cone shaped and stretched out, but the yarn I chose wasn't particularly soft and once I had finished it I decided it wasn't really fit for baby heads, sigh.

Most recently, following the purchase of my spiffy digital camera that started this blog, I decided to knit a little camera cozy of my own design (nothing at all fancy just trying to create my own measurements. Anyway it's good practice but I don't think I'll be showing it off at parties! It's good encouragement to get more practice in knitting without directions though!

I've intentionally been avoiding writing about my current loooong term project; a v neck sweater that is 90% done (but who wants to finish a wool sweater when it's still summer!?). I'll get to posting about that eventually!
